Jeremiah 29:11 – For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. Hope is our power to live as a child of God. We can rest in the confidence for strength when we have our hope. Holding our revolutionary hope gives us the strength and power that God possesses, because He is within us. He reminds us that we are created with a spirit to hold hope. Isaiah 40:31 – But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not faint. Job 11:18 – You will be secure, because there is hope you will look about you and take your rest in safety. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you.
Romans 15:13 – May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.ĭeuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong and courageous. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. Though our other self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day. Hope Brings Us Strength and SecurityĢ Timothy 1:7 – For God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power and love and self-control.Ģ Corinthians 4:16-18 – So we do not lose heart. When we confidently expect the things that God has promised us, we have found the action of hope that He is intending for us. God tells us in these verses that our hope is not a wishful thought, but an actual action of faith. Mark 9:23 – And Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Psalm 39:7 – And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you. Proverbs 3:5 – Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. Romans 12:12 – Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Hebrews 11:1 – Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hope is Not Wishful, it is an Act of Faith God gives us hope through His promises to us. With hope, our lives are transformed to be able to endure what we are walking through and realize what is truly important. Without hope, we cannot endure our deepest pains and struggles. God wants our hopes to revolutionize our lives. Proverbs 26:12 – Do you see a man wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Proverbs 23:18 – There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off. Matthew 19:26 – But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” With true hope from God, we open a door to endless possibilities. Hope is more than anticipation of things we desire, it is a display of our faithfulness. The world displays hopes to us as a desire, a dream, or a wish, but God has much larger intention for hope. Hope has a widespread opinion of what it is.
